Typical applications

  • Oil & gas
  • Chemical industry
  • Natural gas
  • Power generation
  • Metallurgy
  • Papermaking
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Water supply
  • Construction pipelines

Features

  • Compact overall structure with small external dimensions and low weight, saving pipeline installation space
  • Body and bonnet formed by forging, providing higher plasticity, toughness, and mechanical strength than cast steel equivalents
  • Sealing surfaces of disc and seat made from alloy steel or hard alloy butt welding; heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and wear-resistant
  • Disc opens under downstream media thrust and closes automatically under gravity and back-pressure; action described as sensitive and rapid
  • Wide nominal pressure range: CL150 to CL2500 (PN10 to PN420)
  • Wide working temperature range: -196 °C to +600 °C
  • Multiple end connection options: socket weld, threaded, flanged, butt weld

Description

Compact forged steel lift check valve in which the disc opens under downstream media thrust and closes automatically under gravity and back-pressure to prevent reverse flow. Body and bonnet are forged, providing superior mechanical properties compared to cast steel equivalents. Available in a wide range of nominal sizes (NPS 1/4 to NPS 3 / DN6 to DN80), pressure classes (CL150 to CL2500 / PN10 to PN420), and end connection types for high-temperature and high-pressure service.

Selection notes

This lift check valve is a forged steel check valve and compact forged steel valve pattern, supplied for socket weld, threaded, flanged and butt weld installation.

Sizes run DN6 to DN80, in CL150 to CL2500 (PN10 to PN420).

The body is offered in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Alloy Steel, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Stated service media include tap water, sewage, petroleum, chemical media, natural gas and pharmaceuticals.

It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater and Oil & Gas.

Working temperature is -196°C to 600°C.

Built to API 602, BS 5352, GB/T 12224, ASME B16.10 and GB/T 12221.

Supplier remarks

  • The length of the riveted structure at the threaded end of the socket-welding connection shall comply with the factory standards.

Compact Forged Steel Valves configurations

View full Compact Forged Steel Valves system →
This product is part of the Compact Forged Steel Valves modular system. All configurations share the same hydraulically operated body: the control function is set by the pilot valve(s) attached. An existing Compact Forged Steel Valves body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
