About dismantling joints
A dismantling joint is an adjustable flanged fitting that lets a valve, meter or pump be removed from a pipeline without cutting the pipe. By taking up a controlled amount of length and providing a flange each side, it allows equipment to be withdrawn and refitted, and its tie bars carry the end-load so the joint does not pull apart under pressure. They are made in ductile iron and steel with fusion-bonded epoxy coating and EPDM seals. Provide the bore, pressure rating and connection for a suitable joint.
