Features

  • One-piece direct-acting ratio pressure reducing valve
  • Reduces static and dynamic fluid pressure
  • High flow rates with accurate pressure control
  • Reduces surge and water hammer
  • Only one moving part
  • Minimum maintenance required

Description

The ACV ratio reducing valve maintains a fixed ratio between upstream and downstream pressure: as inlet pressure varies, the outlet pressure varies proportionally. This is particularly useful on systems where demand patterns cause large upstream pressure fluctuations, as it avoids the very low outlet pressures that a fixed-set-point PRV would deliver at low inlet pressures. Fully hydraulic, no external power required. Patent 2016/04949.

Selection notes

This pressure reducing valve is supplied for threaded and flanged installation.

Sizes run 50mm to 300mm, in PN16, PN25, PN40, PN100.

The body is offered in Cast iron, WCB Steel and Stainless Steel, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Stated service media include cold water.

It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater.

Working temperature is 0°C to 20°C.

Supplier remarks

  • * L dimension given is for 16bar valves. For higher pressures L is longer by the increased flange thickness.
