- The non-clog ball float resists fouling from fibres, greases and solids present in wastewater
- The anti-shock mechanism prevents pressure surges when air is suddenly expelled
- The smooth internal profile and ball float design eliminate the crevices that harbour blockages in standard air valves
- Suitable for municipal wastewater, pumped sewage rising mains and industrial effluent systems
- Advanced design with simple mechanism, strong float to prevent cracking during sudden water hammer and quick closure
- Aerokinetic mechanism resists blow-shut under high air velocity, even up to sonic velocity of air
- Special expansion middle body lowers sewage water flow speed, letting air out while keeping sewage water underneath
- Keeps dirty or corrosive liquid inside the body for safety during operation, with no harm to people or the surrounding environment
- Internal body guide and upper round wall keep the float moving on its rail and contain liquid turbulence within that area
- Optional outside screen guards against insects or birds entering
- Fully fusion epoxy coated inside and outside for long-term service
- Manufactured to BS EN 1074-4 and AWWA C512; flange drilling and dimensions to BS EN 1092 and BS EN 558/ANSI flange
Description
The SKAA is specifically engineered for sewage and effluent service. The non-clog ball float resists fouling from fibres, greases and solids present in wastewater. The anti-shock mechanism prevents pressure surges when air is suddenly expelled. The smooth internal profile and ball float design eliminate the crevices that harbour blockages in standard air valves. Suitable for municipal wastewater, pumped sewage rising mains and industrial effluent systems.
Selection notes
This air release valve is supplied for flanged installation.
Sizes run DN50 to DN300, in PN10, PN16, PN25.
The body is Ductile Iron EN GJS 500-7.
Seat and trim options are NBR Rubber. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.
