About blind valves

A blind valve provides positive, visible isolation by placing a solid blank (a spade or line blind) across the pipe bore, giving the certainty required before entering or maintaining a system. Unlike a shut valve, a blind interposes a physical barrier that cannot pass fluid, and many designs allow the blank to be swung or slid into place without fully dismantling the joint. They are made in carbon and stainless steel to line pressure ratings. Provide the bore, pressure class and connection for a suitable selection.
