Description
A foot valve installed on the suction side of pumps to prevent backflow and maintain system prime. Incorporates an integrated strainer to filter debris from incoming fluid and a spring-loaded disc mechanism for tight shutoff when the pump is not operating. Available in various flange sizes in PN10 and PN16 pressure ratings.
Selection notes
This foot valve is a spring-loaded disc pattern, supplied for flanged installation.
The body is offered in Cast Iron and Ductile Iron, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.
Seat and trim options are NBR, EPDM, FKM and Neoprene. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.
Stated service media include chemicals, air, water, steam, oil and salts.

Working temperature is -10°C to 120°C.
Built to ANSI B16.10 and BS 5152.
