Description

Cast steel gate valve designed and manufactured to API 600, BS 1414, and ASME B16.34. Available in sizes NPS 2" to 48" across pressure classes 150LB to 2500LB, with body materials including carbon steel, low-temperature carbon steel, chrome-moly alloys, and stainless steel grades. Suitable for water, steam, and oil service over a temperature range of -29°C to 425°C.

Selection notes

This gate valve is a cast steel and wedge gate pattern, supplied for flanged installation.

Sizes run NPS 2" to NPS 48", in Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, Class 900.

The body is offered in ASTM A216 WCB, ASTM A351 CF8 and ASTM A351 CF8M, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Seat and trim options are ASTM A105+13CR, ASTM A105+STL, ASTM A351 CF8 and ASTM A351 CF8M. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.

Stated service media include water, steam and oil.

An existing API Valve body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
