- The on-off accelerator is a pilot accessory that increases the speed of hydraulic control valve operation by providing a large-volume rapid flow path in the pilot circuit during the opening or closing stroke
- Used on slow-acting control valves where faster response is needed, while still maintaining controllable stroke rates to prevent water hammer
- The adjustable orifice allows stroke rate to be tuned to the specific installation
Description
The on-off accelerator is a pilot accessory that increases the speed of hydraulic control valve operation by providing a large-volume rapid flow path in the pilot circuit during the opening or closing stroke. Used on slow-acting control valves where faster response is needed, while still maintaining controllable stroke rates to prevent water hammer. The adjustable orifice allows stroke rate to be tuned to the specific installation.
Selection notes
Sizes run DN50 to DN1000, in PN10, PN16, PN25.
The body is Ductile Iron.
Seat and trim options are Stainless Steel AISI 304 and Stainless Steel AISI 316. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.
Built to GJS 500-7, AISI 304/316, A2/A4, C61900 and EPDM.
