Description
A dual-plate wafer-type check valve with an aluminium bronze body and Monel disc and stem, designed for backflow prevention in systems handling corrosive media such as seawater, brine, or chemical solutions. Two spring-loaded plates open under forward flow and close rapidly upon flow reversal to prevent water hammer and back-pressure damage. The wafer construction allows installation between standard flanges and supports both horizontal and vertical upward flow orientations.
Selection notes
This check valve is a dual plate and wafer type pattern, supplied for wafer installation.
Sizes run NPS 2" to NPS 32", in PN10, PN16, PN25, Class 125, Class 150, JIS 5K, JIS 10K.
The body is ALUMINIUM BRONZE.
Seat and trim options are EPDM, FKM and NBR. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.
Stated service media include fresh water, sewage, sea water, air, vapour and oils.
It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater and Industrial Process.
Working temperature is max 150°C.
Built to API 594, API 598 and EN 12334.
