Features

  • Precision casting valve body with shot blasting treatment; smooth appearance without porosity defects
  • Heavy-type valve body construction
  • Inverted seal at bonnet-stem contact surface to prevent leakage
  • Valve body pickled and passivated to produce uniform surface finish and improve corrosion resistance
  • Shell and seal pressure inspection performed on each valve prior to despatch
  • Flanged end connections
  • Handwheel operated
  • Bolted bonnet construction
  • Cast body with raised face flanges
  • Body markings indicate DN100 (4 inch) size and Class 150 pressure rating

Description

Stainless steel globe valve available in sizes DN50 to DN300, pressure ratings PN16 to PN160 (1.6 to 16.0 MPa) or Class 150 to Class 900. Precision-cast body with shot blasting and pickling/passivation treatment. End connections: raised face (RF), ring-type joint (RTJ), or butt weld (BW). Suitable media include water, steam, oil, weak corrosive media, nitric acid, acetic acid, and urea.

Selection notes

This globe valve is supplied for flanged and butt weld installation.

Sizes run DN50 to DN300, in PN16, PN25, PN40, PN63, PN100, PN160, Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, Class 900.

The body is offered in WCB, WC1, WC6 and WC9, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Seat and trim options are 13Cr, STL, Body Material and Nylon. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.

Stated service media include water, steam, oil, weak corrosive medium, nitric acid and acetic acid.

It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater and Industrial Process.

Working temperature is -29°C to 570°C, by material.
