Features
- Remote hydrostatic sense line to the base of the tank derives water level without a float mechanism inside the structure
- Closes when reservoir level reaches the pilot set-point; opens approximately 300 mm below set-point
- Two-way version (BT127-2) also allows tank discharge when tank head pressure exceeds valve inlet pressure
- Fully hydraulic operation: no electrical power required
- Adjustable ranges: 1.5-6 m, 3-22 m, 15-60 m (one-way); 1-5 m, 5-12 m, 10-32 m, 22-40 m (two-way)
Description
The FIG BT127 altitude control valve provides automatic filling of elevated tanks and reservoirs using a remote hydrostatic sense line connected to the bottom of the tank. When the altitude control senses a drop in level below the set-point the valve opens to fill the tank; when the level reaches the set-point the valve closes. Available in one-way (tank fill only, FIG BT127-1) and two-way (tank fill and discharge, FIG BT127-2) configurations. The fully hydraulic design requires no float mechanism inside the structure and no electrical power.
Selection notes
The body is Ductile Iron.
Seat and trim options are Stainless Steel AISI 304 and Stainless Steel AISI 316. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.
It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater.
Built to GJS 500-7 (ductile iron body, bonnet), AISI 304/316 (seat, stem, plug, spring), EPDM + Nylon Fabric (diaphragm), EPDM (seal) and NBR (O-rings).
