Features
- The RDCS incorporates a hydraulic dashpot that decelerates the disc through the last part of its travel before seating, eliminating the impact and pressure spike of valve slam
- Suitable for pump discharge on sewage, sludge and slurry where aggressive media would quickly damage spring-assisted check valves
- No springs in contact with media
- Rubber disc is fully vulcanized with NBR/EPDM for better sealing and corrosion resistance
- Nylon is lined into the disc to strengthen it and avoid rupture
- The disc sits on top of the fluid after opening to reduce wear (no direct strike)
- All ductile iron parts are coated with epoxy
- Simple design: the upper bonnet can be easily opened for cleaning, replacement and maintenance
- Complies with BS EN 1074-3, BS 4504 and the BS EN 558 face-to-face standard
- When the pump stops, the disc falls quickly to about 15% before full closure, then closes slowly to avoid water hammer through the lower buffer device
Description

Selection notes
This check valve is supplied for flanged installation.
Sizes run DN50 to DN600, in PN10, PN16, PN25.
The body is EN-GJS-500-7.
