Temperature by material

The temperature limit follows the material grade, so the range above spans every grade offered rather than any one build. Confirmed at quotation.

Steel
-29°C to 425°C
AISI 316
-196°C to 400°C (cryogenic service requires an extended bonnet and a type test)

Description

A wafer-type disc check valve available in pressure ratings PN16 to PN40, covering nominal diameters DN15 to DN200. The valve incorporates a spring-assisted disc mechanism and is suitable for both horizontal and vertical flow directions. Available in bronze, steel, and stainless steel material configurations.

Selection notes

This check valve is a disc and wafer type pattern, supplied for wafer installation.

Sizes run DN15 to DN200, in PN16, PN25, PN40.

The body is offered in Bronze, Steel and AISI 316, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Seat and trim options are Bronze, Steel and AISI 316. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.

It is catalogued for Industrial Process.

Working temperature is -196°C to 425°C, by material, and the pressure rating falls as temperature rises: read the pressure-temperature table below rather than the headline class.

Built to ISO 5752, DIN 3202/2-K4, DIN 3202/3-K4 and DIN 2501.

VDCV configurations

View full VDCV system →
This product is part of the VDCV modular system. All configurations share the same hydraulically operated body: the control function is set by the pilot valve(s) attached. An existing VDCV body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
