Typical applications

  • Power industry
  • Petroleum refining
  • Petrochemical industry
  • Marine oil
  • Tap water engineering in urban construction
  • Chemical industry
  • High-pressure or large-diameter pipelines
  • Pipelines requiring long-term sealing and leakage prevention

Actuation options

Manual handwheel

Features

  • Double disc design balances pressure between inlet and outlet, reducing opening torque
  • Medium enters from the top of the disc cover, with medium force acting in the same direction as valve closure, reducing closing torque
  • Disc does not contact seat surface during opening or closing travel, reducing seating surface wear
  • Short travel height
  • Sensitive actuation with good sealing performance
  • Quick opening and closing with low operating torque
  • Compact overall structure

Description

Cast globe valve with a double disc (double petal) configuration, composed of a valve body, valve cover, valve discs, valve stem, and valve stem nut. The double disc design balances pressure across the inlet and outlet, reducing opening and closing torque, making it suitable for high-pressure or large-diameter pipelines. The disc does not contact the seat surface during opening or closing travel, reducing wear and extending service life.

Selection notes

This globe valve is a double disc and cast pattern.

Sizes run DN100 to DN500, in PN20, PN25, PN40, PN63, PN100, PN160, PN250, PN320, PN420, Class 150, Class 300, Class 400, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500, Class 2500.

The body is offered in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Alloy Steel, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Stated service media include high-temperature and high-pressure working media, toxic and harmful risk liquids and general pipeline fluids.

It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater.

Working temperature is -29°C to 540°C.

Built to BS 1873, API 623 and ASME B16.34.

Casted Globe Valve configurations

View full Casted Globe Valve system →
This product is part of the Casted Globe Valve modular system. All configurations share the same hydraulically operated body: the control function is set by the pilot valve(s) attached. An existing Casted Globe Valve body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
