Typical applications

  • Power industry
  • Petroleum refining
  • Petrochemical industry
  • Marine oil
  • Urban water supply
  • Chemical industry

Actuation options

Manual handwheel

Features

  • Disc does not contact seat during opening and closing travel, reducing friction and seat wear
  • Relatively short stem travel
  • Good sealing performance
  • Simple and compact overall structure
  • Suited to low-pressure or small-diameter pipelines due to high closing torque characteristic of single-disc design

Description

Cast single-disc globe valve comprising valve body, cover, disc and stem, operated by handwheel. The medium enters below the disc sealing surface; the resulting closing force makes this design suited to low-pressure or small-diameter pipelines. The disc does not contact the seat during travel, reducing seat wear and extending service life.

Selection notes

This globe valve is a single disc and cast pattern.

Sizes run DN50 to DN300, in PN16, PN20, PN25, PN40, PN63, PN100, PN160, PN250, PN320, PN400, PN420, Class 150, Class 300, Class 400, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500, Class 2500.

The body is offered in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Alloy Steel, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Stated service media include high-temperature and high-pressure working media, toxic and harmful liquids and general industrial fluids.

It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater.

Working temperature is -29°C to 540°C.

Built to BS1873, API 623 and ASME B16.34.

Casted Globe Valve configurations

View full Casted Globe Valve system →
This product is part of the Casted Globe Valve modular system. All configurations share the same hydraulically operated body: the control function is set by the pilot valve(s) attached. An existing Casted Globe Valve body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
