Description

Forged steel globe valve for high-pressure and high-temperature service, integrating throttling regulation and positive shut-off functions in a single body. Manufactured from high-quality forged steel with precision machining, offering compact construction and reliable sealing via optional metal hard seal or soft seal. Suitable for demanding applications across pressure ratings from PN16 to PN420 / Class 150 to Class 2500.

Selection notes

This globe valve is a forged steel, straight-through (t-type) and direct-flow (y-type) pattern, supplied for flanged, threaded and butt weld installation.

Sizes run DN15 to DN400, in Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500, Class 2500.

The body is offered in Carbon steel, Stainless steel and Alloy steel, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater and Oil & Gas.

Working temperature is -29°C to 538°C.

Built to BS 1873, API 623, GB/T 12235, API 607 and BS 2080.

Supplier remarks

  • Diameter of forged steel globe valves is generally not more than DN80; most are reduced-bore designs
  • Medium flow direction restrictions apply, as with other globe valves
  • Other connection types available on request

Specialty Valves configurations

View full Specialty Valves system →
This product is part of the Specialty Valves modular system. All configurations share the same hydraulically operated body: the control function is set by the pilot valve(s) attached. An existing Specialty Valves body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
