Typical applications

  • Oil and gas pipelines
  • Chemical industry pipelines
  • Pharmaceutical industry pipelines
  • Fertiliser industry pipelines
  • Power industry pipelines
  • Low-temperature (cryogenic) service pipelines

Features

  • One-piece wing-type streamlined flow channel
  • Low fluid resistance due to axial flow design
  • Hard alloy sealing surface
  • Flexible disc design
  • Quick closing with small closing impact force
  • Spool aligned with flow direction
  • Actuated by spring or fluid pressure

Description

A check valve with an axial flow design in which the spool is aligned with the flow direction, reducing resistance loss. The spool is actuated by spring or fluid pressure for rapid opening and closing. Forward flow opens the spool; reverse flow causes quick closure to prevent backflow. Features a one-piece wing-type streamlined flow channel, hard alloy sealing surface, and flexible disc design.

Selection notes

This axial flow check valve is a check valve and non-return valve pattern, supplied for flanged and butt weld installation.

Sizes run DN50 to DN600, in PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, PN63, PN100, PN160, PN250, PN320, PN420, Class 150, Class 300, Class 400.

The body is offered in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Alloy Steel, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Stated service media include petroleum, chemical media, pharmaceutical media, fertiliser process media, power industry media and cryogenic fluids.

It is catalogued for Oil & Gas.

Working temperature is -60°C to 538°C.

Built to API 6D, API 602, ASME B16.34, GB/T 12235 and GB/T 21387.

Specialty Valves configurations

View full Specialty Valves system →
This product is part of the Specialty Valves modular system. All configurations share the same hydraulically operated body: the control function is set by the pilot valve(s) attached. An existing Specialty Valves body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
