Features
- The PVGX eccentric plug valve uses an offset plug that lifts clear of the seat as it opens, eliminating rubbing contact and dramatically reducing operating torque and wear
- The plug face contacts the seat only in the fully closed position, providing a positive shut-off with minimal seat wear
- Suitable for raw sewage, sludge, abrasive slurries and general industrial service where conventional valves wear rapidly
- 99% Nickel welded seat for high corrosion resistance
- DN100-DN300 round port; DN350-DN600 square port, giving full path for the flow
- Conforms to the AWWA C517 standard
- The plug is fully encapsulated in rubber, protecting it from direct exposure to the flow media
- Optional plug rubber grades: NBR, EPDM, Neoprene or Viton, selected for media and temperature compatibility
- Eccentric plug design gives a full, unobstructed flow path, reducing turbulence
- The eccentric plug mechanism moves the plug in or out of the body seat during operation for quick opening and closing
- Optional external screen available to keep insects, birds and debris out
- Designed for easy in-line maintenance: gear operators, power actuators or extension rods can be serviced without removing the valve from the pipeline
Description

The body is Ductile Iron ASTM 65-45-12.
