Typical applications

  • Petroleum industry pipelines
  • Chemical industry pipelines
  • Pharmaceutical industry pipelines
  • Fertiliser industry pipelines
  • Power industry pipelines
  • Low-temperature service pipelines
  • Small and medium diameter pipelines

Features

  • Disc is the only moving part; compact structure
  • Short disc stroke enables fast closing, reducing water hammer
  • Bolted cover construction
  • Lift disc design
  • Hardface metal-to-metal sealing pair
  • Guide sleeve ensures smooth disc travel and accurate re-seating on the seat
  • Suitable for water, steam, gas, and other media

Description

Cast lifting check valve in which the disc slides along the vertical centreline of the valve body; forward flow lifts the disc via fluid thrust, whilst cessation or reversal of flow causes the disc to close under gravity and reverse fluid pressure to prevent backflow. A guide sleeve is fitted to ensure smooth disc travel and accurate re-seating. The valve features a bolted cover, hardface metal-to-metal seating, and is suitable for a wide range of media and working conditions including petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, fertiliser, power industry, and low-temperature service.

Selection notes

This check valve is a lifting pattern, supplied for flanged and butt weld installation.

Sizes run DN50 to DN1200, in PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, PN63, PN100, PN160, PN250, PN320, PN400, PN420, Class 150, Class 300, Class 400, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500, Class 2500.

The body is offered in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Alloy Steel, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Seat and trim options are Hardface metal. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.

Stated service media include water, steam, gas, petroleum, chemical media and pharmaceutical media.

It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater and Oil & Gas.

Working temperature is -60°C to 538°C.

Built to API 6D, ASME B16.34, GB/T 12236, JB/T 79 and ASME B16.10.

Casted Check Valve configurations

View full Casted Check Valve system →
This product is part of the Casted Check Valve modular system. All configurations share the same hydraulically operated body: the control function is set by the pilot valve(s) attached. An existing Casted Check Valve body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
