Features

  • Compact structure with S-shaped fluid channels
  • Pressure-balancing plug construction
  • High accuracy of flow characteristic curve
  • Capable of achieving a larger CV
  • Quick-replacement valve internals
  • Sealing ring between plug and valve cage to reduce leakage
  • Smaller actuating force capable of controlling high pressure differentials
  • Designed on principles of standardisation, universality, modularity, and interchangeability
  • Maximum part interchangeability across different valve sizes to reduce operational costs
  • Sturdy plug guide and sleeve to prevent flash evaporation and cavitation (CS702 variant)
  • Guide wing on fluid channel to improve smooth flow around sleeve (C702-2 variant)
  • Steam heating jacket for crystallisation prevention (CJ702 variant)
  • Pilot-type plug using fluid pressure for rapid plug movement at low operating force (CT702 variant)

Description

A cage-guided control valve series featuring a compact structure with S-shaped fluid channels and a pressure-balancing plug. Designed to achieve high flow coefficient (CV) with a smaller actuating force controlling high pressure differentials. A sealing ring between the plug and cage reduces leakage; compatible with multi-spring pneumatic diaphragm actuators.

Selection notes

This control valve is a cage-guided, globe and pressure-balancing pattern, supplied for flanged installation.

Sizes run DN25 to DN700, in PN16, PN20, PN25, PN40, PN50, PN63, PN100, PN110, Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500, Class 2500.

The body is offered in WCB, WCC, LCB and LCC, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Stated service media include water, petroleum products, chemical media, metallurgical process fluids, mining fluids and textile process fluids.

It is catalogued for Water & Wastewater and Oil & Gas.

Working temperature is -196°C to 345°C, by material.

Linear Series configurations

View full Linear Series system →
This product is part of the Linear Series modular system. All configurations share the same hydraulically operated body: the control function is set by the pilot valve(s) attached. An existing Linear Series body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
