Typical applications

  • LNG
  • LPG
  • Long-distance oil and gas pipelines
  • Natural gas pipelines
  • Deep cold environments with high safety requirements

Actuation options

Features

  • Top entry (jacketed) structure permits online maintenance without dismantling the pipeline; valve seat or sealing parts can be quickly replaced
  • Fixed ball design reduces ball wear
  • Low-torque valve stem bearing system for reduced operating effort and extended service life
  • Bidirectional metal sealing structure maintains sealing integrity under high pressure differentials
  • Cold flow phenomena avoided through material optimisation and structural simulation
  • Overall design balances lightweight construction with high strength
  • Supports electric, pneumatic, or manual actuation for automated control compatibility

Description

A top-entry, trunnion-mounted fixed ball valve designed for operation under ultra-low temperature conditions. The ball is installed and removed through the upper part of the valve body without dismantling the pipeline. A 90° rotation of the stem-driven ball controls flow; bidirectional metal sealing maintains integrity under high pressure differentials.

Selection notes

This cryogenic ball valve is a top entry ball valve, trunnion mounted ball valve and fixed ball valve pattern.

Sizes run DN15 to DN600, in PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, PN63, PN100, PN160, PN250, PN320, PN400, PN420, Class 150, Class 300, Class 400, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500, Class 2500.

The body is offered in Stainless Steel and Alloy Steel, so the grade can be matched to the service rather than the other way round.

Stated service media include lng, lpg, liquid nitrogen, natural gas, oil and gas.

It is catalogued for Oil & Gas.

Working temperature is -196°C to 150°C, by material.

Cryogenic Valves configurations

View full Cryogenic Valves system →
This product is part of the Cryogenic Valves modular system. All configurations share the same hydraulically operated body: the control function is set by the pilot valve(s) attached. An existing Cryogenic Valves body in the field can be reconfigured for a different duty simply by swapping the pilot, without replacing the body.
