Description

The A400 is a flow limiting configuration of the A900 main valve body, fitted with a P400 flow control pilot and Alpine orifice plate. The pilot measures differential pressure across the orifice and modulates the main valve to limit flow to the pre-set value regardless of upstream pressure variation. Used to prevent excess draw from transmission mains, control bulk meter bypass flows and protect distribution networks from demand surges. The A900 body can be repiloted in the field without body replacement.

Selection notes

This control valve is supplied for flanged installation.

Sizes run DN50 to DN800, in PN10, PN16, PN25.

The body is EN-GJS-500-7.

Seat and trim options are AISI 304 and 316. The seat, not the body, usually sets the temperature and medium limit, so confirm it against the service before ordering.

Working temperature is -10°C to 80°C.
